CAD Drafting

3D conversion

Standards & procedures are developed in consultation with client to meet their specific needs. Components can also re-engineered to suit new design requirements. Working drawings, parts lists and bill of materials can further be prepared.

Reverse Engineering

Reverse Engineering is the process of measuring a part or object and then creating a CAD model of the part/object that reflects how it was to be designed originally (Design Intent). The source object can be measured using 3D scanners, CMMs & laser scanners. Or through scanning we get point cloud data from which the CAD model is created. Reverse engineering is also used to bring existing physical geometry into digital product development environments, to make a digital 3D record of their own products, or to assess competitors’ products. It is used to analyse, for instance, how a product works, what it does, and what components it consists of, estimate costs, and identify potential patent infringement, etc.
